AdmissionsAdmissions ProcedureThe Authority's policy is to admit children before they reach compulsory school age. In response to the requirements of the National Curriculum at Key Stage 1, and its assessment arrangements, the policy is to admit two intakes each year (in September and January), as follows:Children whose fifth birthdays fall between 1 September and 28/29 February inclusive will be admitted to *full-time education at the beginning of the Autumn Term in September.Children whose fifth birthdays fall between 1 March and 31 August inclusive will be admitted to *full-time education at the beginning of the Spring Term in January.(*For the first week the length of the school day is staggered to ensure the children settle well. Further details will be given prior to entry.)The maximum number of children allowed admission by the London Borough of Bromley is 30 in the Infant classes, and 34 in each Junior class.
Admission CriteriaThe Governing Body considers all applications for admissions on the following criteria:(a) Siblings Children who have brothers or sisters at the school at the timeof admission.(b) Proximity* The remaining places are allocated to those children living nearest to the school.Pre School VisitsPreSchool Visits We welcome visits by parents prior to their child starting school and request that they contact the school to arrange a mutually convenient time. The open morning in November is an ideal occasion to view the school in operation. During a visit, parents will be shown the school, aspects of the curriculum will be explained and any questions answered. Pre School Visit
